Job Description:
About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomist III - Float to join our team. As a Phlebotomist III - Float, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional phlebotomy services across multiple locations and settings, including doctor's offices, patient service centers, in-home environments, and long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality blood draws from patients of all ages, adhering to established procedures and ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Prepare blood specimens for lab testing and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building trust and confidence with patients.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, mentoring and coaching junior staff.
- Act as a resource advisor and provide onboarding services to new employees and clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, laboratory testing services, IT, billing, and logistics, to address complex patient needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
- Strong customer service skills in a retail or service environment.
- Proficiency in keyboard/data entry.
