Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Draw blood samples accurately and efficiently, creating a positive and reassuring environment for patients.
- Specimen Processing: Prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing, following established procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and team members to support efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Previous experience in a patient service center preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) a plus
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
