Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative

Job Description:

Join our team as a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II and play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. You will draw blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and create a welcoming and trusting environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages.
• Prepare and process blood specimens for lab testing.
• Adhere to established practices and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive company image.
• Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and build trust with patients.
• Be flexible and available to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including dress code and safety guidelines.
• Make informed decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
• Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
• Travel to multiple locations and work in various settings (Patient Service Centers, in-office phlebotomy).
• Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Demonstrate superior customer focus, open communication, adaptability to change, and knowledge of the business.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.  

Additional Requirements:

• Must list home city on the resume.
• Overlapping roles do not count twice.
• Have reliable transportation to get to/from the worksite without issue (bus, Uber, and rideshare are not reliable transportation).
• Be available to work whenever scheduled, be on time, and stay for the entire shift.
• Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for termination.
• Ensure you are within a 20-25 minute commute window to the worksite.
