Job Description
- The SAP Finance Tech Team, part of Financial's Corporate Technology Organization seeks an exceptional and experienced SAP ECC Configuration Consultant with a strong background in Financial Reporting and Treasury Operations as well as Financial Systems functionality in support of a Corporate Finance Business unit.
- The SAP Senior FI Configuration Consultant will have a strong background in SAP ECC Finance and Treasury configuration and operational support, including but not limited to GL, SL, TR, and FA modules.
- They will be responsible for soliciting business requirements on new configuration requests, analyzing production issues, recommending configuration designs, understanding technical dependencies, and helping to envision and implement creative solutions to both business and technical challenges.
- SAP Senior FI Configuration Consultant must be team-oriented and possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
- Work with limited guidance on complex finance production support and project assignments in the SAP ECC suite of modules
- Work very closely with both business and technical stakeholders on new configuration deliverables, regulatory requirement updates, and break/fix
- Operate independently on organizational project tasks on finance and treasury solutions within SAP ECC
- Participate in all phases of project testing.
- Facilitate and drive requirements gathering sessions as needed
- Collaborate with business and system experts/ABAP developers
- Lead analysis of business processes, procedures, data, and rules
- Negotiate and influence requirements direction Analyze and decompose business rules
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements/solutions design
- Assist other team members with understanding the business requirements
- Look for and find ways to continuously improve operations
- Goals - Develop highly performing applications & Support the existing SAP ECC Finance application
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of SAP ECC Finance configuration experience
- Ability to expand configuration expertise to other unique and complex SAP ECC modules such as FAM for Partnerships/Investments, CML-Consumer Mortgage Loan module
- Experience in eliciting business requirements from multiple finance business groups
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and work on multiple assignments at once, often with a sense of urgency during critical financial close periods or resulting from production problems
- Ability to own and drive business analysis on projects
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Financial Services, including CFO functions
- Working knowledge of SAP FI-CO, FAM, CML modules a plus
- Testing skills
- Ability to mentor less experienced staff
- Highly organized and collaborative
