Job Description
- The Senior Cloud Solution Engineer will play a pivotal role as part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) in enhancing clients' digital infrastructure by leveraging public cloud solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT infrastructure, IT management, Azure Cloud, and security and will work closely with developers, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services within the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Senior Cloud Solution Engineer will lead the implementation and management of public cloud solutions, primarily focusing on Azure, with additional services in GCP and AWS.
- Influence and participate in the end-to-end oversight of the public cloud platforms.
- Help client CCoE create, improve, adopt, and apply security, governance, operational, and financial best practices.
- Develop and enforce best practices for cloud management, including cost optimization, performance monitoring, disaster recovery, and high availability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on cloud technologies and solutions.
- Create and manage multi-regional cloud deployments including public and private networking, routing, DNS, CDN, Firewalls and WAN connectivity.
- Respond to technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively articulate complex cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
- Convert project-specific specifications into a cloud architecture that satisfies those specifications, considering resource usage and scalability.
- Ensure the cloud environment is designed with the company's needs in mind from start to finish.
- Carry out tasks like deployment, upkeep, monitoring, and management within the developed cloud framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Azure cloud management within an enterprise-sized organization.
- Proven expertise in IT infrastructure and security.
- Experience working with development teams on web application hosting and identity and access management technologies.
- Additional experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present thoughts clearly to stakeholders.
- Technical and business acumen to partner efficiently with all levels of cloud solution requestors and stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain high levels of trust with management, developers, engineers, and support personnel.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
