Responsibilities:
- System Design: Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems.
- Product Definition: Define product features and drive towards optimal solutions.
- Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Technical Leadership: Lead design sessions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Component Development: Create and support reusable application components and patterns.
- Technology Stack: Utilize programming languages like Python, C#, SQL, NoSQL databases, container orchestration services, and Azure tools.
- Mentorship: Mentor other engineers and share best practices.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement within and across teams.
- Proficiency in Go programming language and knowledge of at least one other modern programming language
- Experience with JavaScript technologies such as React or Angular
- Proven understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs
- Experience architecting and designing new systems
- Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts and Azure DevOps framework
- Experience with Open-Source tools like GIT and Terraform/Ansible
- Experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka, Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK)
- Understanding of PostgreSQL in a Kubernetes containerized environment
- Understanding of service integrations and communication standards (GRPC/REST)
- Experience with continuous delivery (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of OpenStack/Kubernetes, containers, and best practices in a K8s environment
- Experience with Observability tools such as Prometheus/Grafana/Open Telemetry/Loki
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Strong communication skills
- 4 years of professional software development experience
- 3 years of experience with architecture and design
- 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 2 years of experience in open-source frameworks
