About the Role:
As a Forensic Processing Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting our forensic toxicology laboratory. You'll be responsible for processing various biological specimens, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict forensic protocols. Your contributions will directly impact the delivery of critical diagnostic information for healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specimen Processing: Receive, sort, and process biological specimens (e.g., hair, oral fluid, urine) according to established procedures.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter specimen data into the QTN Lab Information System.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to strict forensic practices to ensure the integrity of the testing process.
- Specimen Analysis: Independently process urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing.
- Documentation: Scan and image custody and control forms.
- Specimen Disposal: Properly discard negative specimens.
- High-Throughput Processing: Perform flexilog on routine urine specimens at a high volume.
- Other Duties: Assist with various tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior laboratory experience is preferred.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment and adhering to safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems.
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
