Pay Range : $51 - $52 / hr
About the Role :
As a Mammography Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You will perform mammographic procedures on both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform mammographic procedures according to established protocols.
- Review patient records and prescriptions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal image quality.
- Practice universal precautions and adhere to infection control guidelines.
- Prioritize patient safety by following National Patient Safety Goals.
- Process images using the Client's imaging system.
- Verify and complete cases promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Monitor and resolve exceptions in a timely manner.
- Utilize the Breast reporting system (PenRad), EMR, and PACS systems effectively.
- Load external imaging, create orders, and scan reports into PACS.
- Analyze images for quality and identify potential issues.
- Repeat images as necessary to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Provide excellent patient care, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately.
- Respect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Utilize language translation services and communication tools as needed.
