Job Title : SWIFT Messaging Consultant

Contract Duration : 7 Months

Pay range : $55 - 60 / hr

Work Type : Hybrid

Location : New York City, NY

Typical Day in Role

  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of ISO 20022 message standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test the new SWIFT messages.
  • Analyze existing SWIFT messages and compare them to new SWIFT messages to validate accuracy, and identify gaps.
  • Work in partnership with Custodian Banks to test the new SWIFT messages.
  • Processing changes to be made to the payment process
  • Testing process changes and verifying the procedures are functioning correctly
  • Corresponding with paying banks to schedule updates for change implementation

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills :

  • 5 years of Operational Experience
  • 3 years experience with SWIFT messaging
  • Experience processing payments
  • Prior Financial Institution experience

    • Nice-To-Have Skills :

  • Prior Scotiabank experience

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • A self-starter / takes the initiative, deals well with ambiguity and is detail-oriented.
  • Highly organized, ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong people skills, including relationship-building with clients.

    • Education :

  • Post-secondary education in a related field

    • Note

  • The best candidate would have experience with processing payments, SWIFT messaging and have a high attention to detail as well as strong communication skills
