Job Summary
The OSP Inspector II is responsible for ensuring that client underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrections performed by contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically.
- Communicate via cellular phone and email.
- Perform manual inspections, audits, and transfers using printed spreadsheets when necessary.
- Familiarity with mapping/GPS technology.
Requirements:
- OSHA 30 Construction certification.
- Previous experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew.
- Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
- Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards.
- Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
- Computer experience:
- Microsoft Windows XP.
- Excel 2003 or newer.
- Outlook.
- Maintenance of Microsoft MapPoint 2009 or newer skills is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable with internet usage and web page browsing.
