About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ICQA Manager to lead inventory control and quality assurance initiatives at a high-volume retail warehouse in Indiana. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse processes, and driving operational excellence across a large-scale facility with 3 buildings and over 2,000 employees. You will directly manage a team of 160 ICQA associates, including 2 supervisors, and report to the Head of Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
1.Inventory Control & Accuracy:
- Lead network-aligned inventory control strategies, including cycle counts and random audits, to ensure inventory integrity and minimize discrepancies.
- Proactively identify root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
2.Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Analyze and resolve inventory control system (WMS) issues, ensuring documentation of root causes and effective countermeasures.
- Conduct quality assurance audits, focusing on ASN compliance, load quality, and vendor performance. Collaborate with Accounts Payable and vendors to maintain compliance.
3.Operational Leadership:
- Partner with senior management to optimize workflows, staffing, and procedures for efficient product movement.
- Review transportation carrier performance and recommend improvements.
4.Team Development:
- Train, coach, and mentor associates through formal programs and on-floor guidance. Foster a positive, employee-centric work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 4 years in Inventory Control & Quality Assurance (ICQA) at Manager level (Lead/Supervisor roles excluded).
- Proven background in high-SKU, retail/consumer-facing warehouses (e-commerce, apparel, 3PL, or logistics preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in WMS platforms and inventory audit methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and process optimization.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage large teams (160 associates) and drive cross-functional collaboration.
