What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microwave Tower Construction position at Global Tower Service, Inc.?
TRAVEL & HEIGHTS...Interested? We are looking for construction workers to work on Microwave Tower construction projects most jobs are in California. You must have physical strength, endurance, ability to climb heights in excess 100ft routinely, available for extensive travel, and work well with your hands. Being good in collaboration, following instructions and safety rules are important.
Responsibilities
- Work at heights in excess of 100ft on a regular basis
- Extensive travel of at least 6 weeks at a time
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
- Unload and carry materials at construction sites
- Requisition of new supplies and equipment
- Maintenance on equipment and vehicles
- Performance of various tasks in the area of tower erection, coaxial cable, antenna installations and RF testing.
- Clean out site from debris and discarded material
- Participate in training's as required
- Perform all work in accordance with established OSHA and Global Tower Service safety procedures
- Employees will be outfitted with all the necessary safety equipment
Skills
- Experience in construction is a plus but we are willing to train the right candidates
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Able to work in a team
- Very good knowledge of English
- Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License, CDL a plus
