- Keep in constant communication with clients and build and maintain client relationships
- Monitor all office spending and detailed coding relating to jobs costs and profitability
- Knowledge of accrual and cash-based accounting
- Enter monthly credit card transactions
- GAAP fundamentals a must.
- Bookkeeper with A/P, A/R, Payroll and Month End Close Experience.
- Maintain and support the general ledger.
- ADP Payroll experience preferred – will train if required.
- Post A/R checks, EFTs, and credit card transactions.
- Record A/P invoices, prepare payment schedules, prepare checks.
- Monthly Financial Reports: Balance Sheet, P/L, Trial Balance.
- Quarterly and Annual Payroll Tax Return, W2x and 1099s.
- Workers Comp Payroll Reporting.
- 1099s and other year-end reporting.
- Sales Tax Returns, Business License Renewals, Business Property Statements.
- Prepare documents for CPA firm.
- Bank Reconciliation.
- Excel and Word proficiency.
- Must be able to solve accounting problems, organize the accounting operations and ensure all accounting functions are running productively.
Office Management Duties and Responsibilities (after an appropriate time on the job);
- Oversee general office operation.
- Light office management
- HR responsibilities including; health insurance administration, employee contract administration
- Supervise, train, schedule time off, assign tasks.
- Involvement with staffing decisions.
- Purchase office supplies.
Position reports to President, must maintain confidentiality, take responsibility for entire accounting system performance, and be willing to lead.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or commensurate experience.
- Minimum of 5 years full charge bookkeeping experience.
- Proficient with Excel
- High Degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proactive with an ability to suggest improvements.
- Ability to work independently.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year depending on skills
