Job Summary: Global Turf Equipment is seeking a reliable and skilled Equipment Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting turf equipment to customers across the state of Florida using a Ford F450 truck with a 32' or 40' gooseneck trailer. The ideal candidate must possess a Class A CDL and be comfortable with loading and unloading equipment. Experience operating turf or landscaping equipment is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the shop headquarters in San Antonio, FL at 7:00 AM Monday-Friday (occasionally earlier as needed).
- Safely deliver turf equipment to customers throughout Florida.
- Load and unload equipment onto trailers, ensuring proper securing and transport safety.
- Conduct occasional equipment demonstrations upon delivery to rental customers, explaining proper usage and operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter changes.
- Diagnose and address minor mechanical issues, such as hydraulic leaks, to minimize downtime.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction with deliveries and equipment operations.
- Maintain logs and records of deliveries, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating turf, landscaping, or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment as needed.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills are a plus.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
