Location :
This is a full-time, onsite position based at Global Village Academy (GVA) Douglas County in Parker, CO. Occasional travel to other GVA campuses or meeting locations in Aurora, Thornton, and Denver may be required.
Job Summary :
The Information Technology Support Manager is responsible for overseeing IT operations and technology infrastructure at Global Village Academy (GVA) Douglas County. This role involves implementing IT policies, managing school-wide technology initiatives, and ensuring the security and efficiency of all IT systems. The IT Support Manager provides tier-one and tier-two technical support, but more importantly, they play a key role in technology planning, asset management, and IT strategy alignment with school objectives.
This position requires a proactive leader who can analyze IT needs, develop best practices, manage vendor relationships, and provide technical guidance to school administrators, teachers, and staff.
The role includes logging and categorizing Help Desk incidents, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, and ensuring effective communication with end users. The IT Support Manager also collaborates closely with the school leadership team and the broader GVA Collaborative Team to ensure smooth technology operations across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
IT Strategy and Systems Administration
- Implement IT policies, best practices, and standard operating procedures to improve technology efficiency across the school.
- Manage technology infrastructure, including network security, data protection, and system updates to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Oversee device lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of school-issued laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, iPads, and smartboards.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to enhance educational tools and administrative operations.
- Work with school leadership and the GVA Collaborative team to ensure IT strategy aligns with academic and operational goals.
