Role Description:
The Project Associate is a key support role in the organization. Assisting the Project Management team, the position focuses on the timely processing of meter applications and other administrative support services as assigned. Responsibilities include research and coordinating across multiple departments.
Primary Duties:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all customers regarding new meter installations.
- Receive meter applications for all utilities, perform research and due diligence associated with each application, and process within standard service level agreements.
- Act as the internal liaison between all departments involved in the new meter installation process.
- Understands and communicates policies, procedures, and applicable fees to customers, including speaking with homebuilders and land developers who request new meter installations.
- Provide exceptional communication and service to both external customers and internal partners via diverse mediums including in-person, telephone, and electronically.
- Ensure high quality service and timely responsiveness is provided at all points within the process.
- Continually look for ways to be innovative, implement efficiencies, and streamline processes.
- Perform other assigned tasks in a support role to the Development Services Project Management team as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years in a customer service-related role.
- Highly developed attention to detail.
- Possess keen interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Skilled at developing and executing goals while effectively and efficiently utilizing all resources to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems efficiently and effectively, and the ability to approach each customer individually.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Education or Experience:
- College level coursework preferred
- Previous utilities experience desirable

Physical Demands: Must be able to perform the following on a regular basis: Sitting for extended periods; prolonged periods of time with repetitive motions of hands and fingers; close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty pounds. Work is performed in an office.
