Electrical Engineer I

Our client, a leading engineering firm located in Camden County, NJ, is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join their multi-disciplinary Healthcare / Sciences Department.

This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with industry experts, contribute to state-of-the-art projects, and develop mission-critical electrical infrastructure that enhances hospital and research facility operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Electrical System Design & Analysis – Perform engineering calculations, develop single-line diagrams, size electrical components and equipment, and conduct short-circuit analysis to support project development.
• Technical Drawings & Compliance – Create, review, and refine electrical system designs using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local standards.
• Project Oversight & Coordination – Work closely with facility owners, architects, and project teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of project objectives.
• Construction Administration & Site Surveys – Conduct site visits, energy audits, and field inspections, provide construction support, and review shop drawings to ensure project success.
• Code & Standards Compliance – Ensure that all electrical designs meet IEEE, NFPA, Joint Commission, FGI Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities, and other relevant industry regulations.
• Energy Efficiency & Sustainability – Support green building initiatives by integrating sustainable energy solutions and understanding the USGBC LEED Rating System (preferred).
