KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Mechanical System Design & Analysis – Develop comprehensive mechanical system designs, calculations, and performance analyses for power generation, heat recovery, chilled water, boilers, cooling towers, and pumping systems.Equipment Selection & Specification – Identify and specify mechanical components, including combustion turbines, internal combustion engines, piping, cooling solutions, and industrial valves.3D Modeling & Technical Drawings – Generate and review precise 2D / 3D models using AutoCAD (experience with Revit is a plus) while ensuring compliance with industry standards.Project Leadership & Support – Act as Engineer of Record when required, assist project managers with resource planning, proposal development, and client engagements.Field & Construction Oversight – Perform site visits, attend pre-bid meetings, and provide technical support throughout project execution.Regulatory & Code Compliance – Ensure all designs adhere to ASME VIII, ASME B31.1 / B31.3, NFPA, and relevant industry regulations.QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS :
Our client is looking for a Power and Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer who has the following :
Mechanical Engineering Expertise – Strong foundation in power plant systems, heat recovery, cooling systems, and pumping applications.Technical Proficiency – Hands-on experience with AutoCAD (Revit / BIM knowledge is a plus).Industry Standards Knowledge – Familiarity with ASME, NFPA, and federal / state engineering regulations.Project Management & Efficiency – Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.Communication & Documentation Skills – Exceptional ability to convey technical concepts, write reports, and collaborate across teams.Professional Licensure – A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.Additional Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering for power generation, central utility plants, or combined heat and power systemsExperience with AutoCAD or Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM)TAKE THE NEXT STEP!
