Corporate Accountant

Global X Management Company LLC ("Global X") is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Finance and Business Management team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior Finance leaders, as well as Leadership across the firm, including C-level executives. Finance and Business Management entails a wide array of tasks and responsibilities pertaining to both day-to-day operations and long-term firm strategy, including but not limited to:

• Financial analysis and reporting
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Month-end close and consolidations
• Key vendor management
• Payroll and benefits administration
• IT management and infrastructure
• HR and recruiting
• Legal entity management
• Ad-hoc tasks as needed

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to perform meaningful financial planning and analysis and will be involved in a variety of global, cross-functional projects and initiatives. This is a very multi-faceted role where the successful candidate will perform a wide variety of functions while supporting the development of a best-in-class Finance and Accounting organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Full p&l modeling, budgeting, and analysis
• Implement and produce accurate, timely, and meaningful KPI reporting
• Participate in monthly close and completion of reporting packages for Leadership
• Prepare supporting schedules for Leadership and external auditors
• Streamline and document various processes
• Manage relationships with key vendors
• Ad-hoc reporting/projects

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business field, ideally Finance and/or Accounting
• Approximately 4-6 years total work experience
• Ability to independently interact with a wide array of stakeholders, including third parties
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are an absolute must (familiarity with lookups, index/match, sumifs, nested conditional statements, pivot tables, dashboard creation, etc.)
• Comfort with Excel based financial models. Must be able to quickly navigate and understand complex spreadsheets
• Knowledge of accountancy/bookkeeping or a willingness and capability to quickly develop this skillset
• A keen eye for detail and presentation
• Commercially minded across all tasks
• Proven success in conveying the “story” that succinctly summarizes various inputs and data
• Flexibility and willingness to take on tasks outside the scope of a traditional Finance role
• A versatile thinker able to run new tasks and projects
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, at times ambiguous environment
• Extremely organized and able to manage various time-sensitive deliverables

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Big 4 or Finance/Accounting experience at a large bank or financial services firm is a BIG plus
• CPA is desirable but not required
• Project management
• Exposure to annual audit process
• Interest in and knowledge of markets and ETFs/financial products
• ERP implementation experience
• Familiarity with data analytics tools outside of Excel (eg. Python, R, Qlik etc.)

For New York City Only

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Employees are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package. Total compensation may vary based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
