Globalcom Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Estimator to join our Preconstruction team. The Estimator will be responsible for the quantitative analysis (takeoff), summarization, and bid preparation of prospective projects. This position reports directly to the Director of Preconstruction and plays a crucial role in delivering accurate, competitive bids that contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete and accurate takeoffs of plans, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
- Have a thorough understanding of industry standards, materials, and the construction process
- Utilize the company’s estimating software to prepare and refine project estimates.
- Propose value engineering suggestions for each project to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Refine estimates prior to bid submittal to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Understand the project’s design, risks, competition, key players, and other factors critical to bid preparation.
- Analyze and understand bidding procedures and identify strategic opportunities that could influence the bid process.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of two years of estimating experience, preferably in the Low Voltage field.
- Experience using estimating software and tools to create detailed bids.
- Engineering degree or relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, devise solutions, and make independent decisions.
