At our global product design and technology company, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our People & Culture team as the Director of HRBP. In this pivotal role, you'll partner closely with organizational leadership to shape and execute a people strategy that aligns with both our business and P&C objectives.


Role Overview:

As the Director HRBP, you will play a crucial role in driving our talent strategy and initiatives. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze needs, establish significant P&C programs, and foster an environment that promotes individual and organizational growth. By empowering our teams through effective career development, employee engagement, and talent management frameworks, you will help cultivate a world-class workforce. Your leadership will be instrumental in facilitating the adoption of crucial P&C programs, including performance management, succession planning, and talent assessments. In a fast-paced environment, your proactive approach and strategic insights will be essential for enabling your client teams to excel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and their leadership teams, leveraging HR expertise to align people practices with the execution of business strategy, problem resolution, and informed decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment of P&C initiatives with corporate strategies and vital business drivers within the supported business unit.
  • Lead talent management programs tailored to the P&C strategy while addressing the unique talent needs of client groups, managing the talent pipeline for future leaders, and overseeing the succession management process.
  • Develop a comprehensive workforce planning (SWP) philosophy and process, employing best practice methodologies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Drive HR-related initiatives and operational efficiencies, leading projects and process improvements as a change leader/coach to facilitate effective implementation.
  • Champion a vibrant organizational culture through approaches that enhance recruitment, selection, talent development, performance management, and succession, reinforcing company values.
  • Serve as a mentor and confidant to associates at all levels, contributing to both individual and organizational success and fostering integration within the business unit.
  • Proactively analyze complex people-related issues and trends, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct organizational effectiveness assessments to utilize data for driving change and identifying opportunities.
  • Identify, prioritize, and design programs to build organizational capabilities, support workforce planning, and address skill gaps.
  • Conduct needs assessments to inform the talent development agenda, developing or delivering HR programs, processes, and training to fill identified gaps.
  • Effectively communicate changes in HR policies and procedures within assigned business units, advocating for interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations at the local level, coordinating activities as necessary across teams or countries.
  • Oversee talent management processes to ensure employee capabilities align with current and future organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development team to align talent development initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that integrates best practices for teamwork and innovation.
  • Exhibit strong coaching, conflict resolution, and communication skills to navigate sensitive conversations effectively.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and assertively, leading crucial conversations when needed and managing confidentiality with integrity.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record of working within a matrixed environment and managing through influence.
  • Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, successfully addressing complex issues with sound judgment.
  • Be self-motivated, capable of working independently when necessary, and collaboratively to achieve quality solutions.


Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of HR experience, blending business partnership with a focus on talent management and development, including expertise in organizational design/effectiveness, team building, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Global experience is a plus; experience in the consumer products industry is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet business requirements and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse functional groups and employees at all levels professionally and effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and persuasively.
