We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst on behalf of our manufacturing client in Philadelphia, PA. Process customer payments, research and resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate financial records, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely cash application and account reconciliation. Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and apply incoming payments through the ERP system to the correct customer accounts. These include: checks, wire transfers, ACH, and credit card transactions.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies such as short payments, overpayments, and unapplied cash to ensure account accuracy.
- Engage with customers to obtain remittance details, resolve payment disputes, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper cash processing.
- Generate reports on cash applications, aging balances, and deductions, analyze recurring payment issues, and support bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances.
- Evaluate and improve cash application workflows by identifying inefficiencies and supporting system upgrades, migrations, and testing to optimize operations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and SOX guidelines while keeping detailed records to support audits and regulatory reviews in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in cash applications or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to execute VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and overall data analysis.
- Proficiency with ACH and other electronic payment systems and banking portals.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy to process high-volume transactions.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate, identify, and resolve payment discrepancies with efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate payment resolutions.
