The Foreman will coordinate with clients, employees, subcontractors, vendors, and procurement to oversee daily operations, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with construction plans, safety protocols, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Coordination
- Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring the project stays on schedule and meetsspecifications
- Coordinate daily tasks and schedules for workers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain smooth andefficient operations
- Ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Be available by phone to address urgent questions and concerns while not in field and away fromprojects
- Enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, local regulations, and companypolicies
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
- Organize and lead safety meetings and training sessions for site personnel
- Lead, supervise, and provide direction to Lead Installers, Helpers, and subcontractors to ensure highproductivity and quality
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and safe work environment, addressing personnel issues as they arise
- Track and report on team performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed. If unable to visitmultiple locations in a day, follow up with team leads via phone
- Occasionally be available by phone during time off to answer work-related questions
- Monitor the quality of all on-site work, ensuring it meets project requirements and industry standards
- Conduct regular inspections to confirm compliance with project specifications and building codes
- Identify and resolve quality-related issues, collaborating with project managers or engineers as needed
- Perform a final walkthrough before project handover to address any pending issues or missing items
- Oversee the proper use of materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficiency and availability
- Coordinate with the project manager or purchasing department to ensure timely material deliveries
- Track material usage and minimize waste to prevent cost overruns
- Monitor project timelines to ensure work progresses as planned
- Identify potential delays or obstacles and implement strategies to keep the project on track
- Assist the project manager in tracking budgets and ensuring financial constraints are met
- Identify potential project challenges, such as delays, technical issues, or workforce concerns
- Take immediate action to resolve problems, adjusting plans and resources as needed
- Communicate effectively with the project manager, providing updates on issues and proposing solutions
- Maintain clear communication with the project manager, contractors, and subcontractors to align goals,timelines, and expectations
- Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports on site activities, including progress updates, safetyinspections, and any critical issues
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensureproper coordination and project alignment
- A clean driving record is required
- Must possess a current Texas Journeyman License or provide proof of active pursuit
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft programs
- Fluency in the English language
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructional and technical materials – OR – a suitable combinationof education and experience
