Job Title: Journeyman Electrician/Electrical Technician
Location: West Texas

GlobaLogix, Inc. serves mid-market Energy and Utility clients by delivering engineering, design, and installation of industrial control systems on time and on budget.  We have deep industry knowledge and experience to provide complete solutions.

We are currently seeking a multitude of Journeyman Electricians/Electrical Technicians for our West Texas operations. Local candidates strongly preferred for a M-F schedule. Can count on at least 50-60 hours per week. This is a fast-paced environment. Must be able to contend with the weather conditions in West Texas.

Description of work

1. Knowledge of A/C and D/C circuits
2. Knowledge of electrical theory, ladder logic, reading electrical schematics.
3. Knowledge of electrical devices and apparatuses
4. Knowledge of proper power and control troubleshooting (pump panels, instrument devices, relays, breakers, transformers single and three phase, motors etc.)
5. Knowledge of overhead power line and troubleshooting transformer sizing and wiring, fuse coordination is a plus
6. Knowledge of VFD and Soft start devices, operation, and components is a plus but not a requirement
7. Will have to be available for call out rotations Currently 5-week rotation
8. Must have knowledge of meters and how to take measurements safely and correctly

Role and Responsibilities

1. licensed Journeyman Texas and/or New Mexico preferred
2. Interviewee needs to have good communication skills verbal and written
3. Must have a clean driving record for at least 3 years
4. Must work well with others within his/her department and other departments
5. Must have good work ethics Honesty, trustworthy, punctual, integrity etc.
6. Must be a self-motivated individual and able to coordinate workflow
7. Individuals must be available for on call rotation once put into rotation and be able to manage tasks and workflow accordingly
8. Individuals will need to have a good safety culture and will need to conform to ours and be a safety leader in all aspects of day-to-day work and tasks
