Job Summary: We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Houston office and support project delivery across automation and SCADA solution deployments. The Project Manager ensures scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met while maintaining strong relationships with clients and coordinating internal and external resources.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project initiation by facilitating hand-off meetings between Sales and the Professional Services team.
- Develop and maintain project plans, Gantt schedules, budgets, and resource allocations based on scope of work and deliverables in MS Project Online.
- Coordinate with clients, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery of project milestones.
- Manage SharePoint project data and documentation to ensure traceability and accountability across all phases.
- Monitor project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Conduct recurring project team meetings and client check-ins to track progress, manage changes, and ensure alignment.
- Drive procurement activities by tracking material orders and coordinating subcontractor activities.
- Notify Finance of invoicing milestones, issue Change Orders as needed, and participate in project financial tracking.
- Conduct project close-out meetings, gather lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform periodic program reviews with Executive Team to review project P&L performance and deliver insights on improvement areas.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrated success in managing industrial or technology projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Project delivery experience in Controls, Automation, SCADA, Product Development, or I&E environments is strongly preferred.
- Advanced with MS Project Online, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- PMP certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within one year of employment.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project management roles within technical or engineering-driven organizations.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders across geographically distributed teams.
