Job Description
- Lead work on the S3 interface for end-to-end HL7 message receipt, routing, and sending.
- Work with the informatics team members to provide interface support for new and existing electronic laboratory report (ELR), syndromic surveillance message (SyS), and electronic case report (eCR) data feeds.
- Conduct quality assurance and validation of incoming messages (ELR, SyS, eCR).
- Maintain and support development in Azure Cloud.
- Lead identification of solutions for information access.
- Assist ESIC, BIT, and vendors to implement any new system or system change.
- Create documentation, system diagrams, and guidelines to communicate design decisions and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field or Master’s degree in Public Health.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of coding standards, such as HL7, LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT, and other clinical or message coding.
- Two years experience working in a public health setting.
