Job Title: Hyperion Business Analyst – 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role:
We are seeking a senior-level Hyperion Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract with the intent to convert to a full-time role. During the contract period, the role will be fully remote. Upon conversion, the candidate must be willing to relocate to or work on-site in either Dallas, TX or Miami, FL. In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with technical solutions in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) space. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and leadership to deliver critical projects involving Hyperion, Oracle EPM, and related tools.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver large-scale, strategic FP&A technology projects.
- Design, test, and implement system enhancements and new solutions.
- Develop long-term business and technology roadmaps.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and train business users.
- Maintain clear and detailed project documentation.
- Serve as a key liaison for senior stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure all initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
- Lead team meetings, manage deliverables, and set priorities.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose actionable recommendations.
- Mentor junior analysts and support team growth.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8 years in business analysis or a similar role.
- 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Hyperion, Oracle EPM, or comparable EPM platforms.
- Skilled in data visualization/reporting tools like Power BI.
- Strong understanding of financial close, planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience working in Agile environments and using modern project management tools.
- History of successfully delivering large, complex business initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of business processes, enterprise architecture, and systems integration.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence across all levels and drive change.
- Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
