JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of materials and products into and out of the warehouse or distribution center. This role involves receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping goods in a timely and organized manner, ensuring that inventory is properly documented, and that products are shipped or received according to company standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving Shipments:
- Unload shipments from trucks and verify that received items match the purchase order or packing list.
- Inspect all goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Accurately log and track incoming shipments in the inventory management system.
- Label or tag received items with relevant identifiers such as SKU numbers, barcodes, or other distinguishing markers.
Shipping Orders:
- Select and pack items based on customer orders or internal requests.
- Verify the accuracy of packed orders, ensuring correct quantity, size, and quality.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all outgoing shipments, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs forms.
- Coordinate the loading of outbound shipments onto trucks or carriers, ensuring secure and proper packing.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain an organized inventory system by efficiently storing and shelving products.
- Conduct regular stock or cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to management.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Ensure accurate completion of all shipping and receiving documents, including packing slips, bills of lading, and invoices.
- Update the inventory management system with shipment, receipt, and return details.
- Maintain logs of received, shipped, and stored inventory.
Quality Control:
- Perform basic quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards before shipment.
- Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company safety and cleanliness policies.
- Comply with all relevant environmental and safety regulations when handling hazardous materials or products.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Preferred: High School diploma or GED.

- Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience required.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment.
