Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Site Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems at various site locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in network support, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Setup & Configuration:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points at multiple sites.
- Ensure the seamless integration of site network infrastructure with corporate network systems.
- Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
- Provide technical support for network-related issues by diagnosing and resolving connectivity problems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, including bandwidth issues, latency, and signal strength at remote locations.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems related to network hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Network Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor site networks for performance, reliability, and security issues.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact business operations.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations, site-specific issues, and maintenance activities.
- Create detailed incident reports and track resolution progress to ensure timely follow-up.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure that site networks comply with organizational security policies and industry best practices.
- Perform regular security checks and assist with vulnerability assessments, patch management, and upgrades.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with other IT teams and external vendors to ensure timely and effective resolution of site network issues.
- Coordinate with site managers to schedule network-related tasks and minimize operational disruptions.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing:
- Provide basic network training and support to site staff as needed.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the broader IT team to enhance network efficiency and reduce downtime.
- On-Call Support:
- Be available for on-call support to resolve critical network issues during off-hours, as required.
