Position: Associate, Business Development
Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Onsite presence: Hybrid 3-4 times a week to start while training
Salary range: $72,000.00 - $90,000.00
Department & reporting line: This role will report to the Managing Director, Head of Sales, serving as a cross-functional support to the Sales, Marketing and Relationship Management departments.
Position Objectives & General Responsibilities
The Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting GlobeTax’s Sales, Marketing, and Relationship Management teams with prospect and client engagement. This dynamic and fast-paced role provides essential support functions such as researching targets, developing marketing collateral, attending client meetings, managing action items, and creating summary reports. This position offers broad exposure to senior leaders across the firm as well as notable clients, prospects, and industry partners, making it an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop industry knowledge and a holistic skillset.
Tasks and Duties
- Research sales targets and opportunities for new business using internal data sources, industry databases, and online research
- Attend meetings with and provide administrative support to senior Business Development representatives (schedule meetings, take notes, manage delivery of action items, input call reports and client/prospect data in Salesforce)
- Coordinate preparation of marketing collateral and summary analyses that highlight the benefits of GlobeTax’s service offering to prospects; assist in drafting client and prospect communications
- Support engagement with referral partner network
- Support preparation of pipeline and campaign status reports for presentation to senior management; prepare ad hoc reports as needed
- Assist with responding to incoming inquiries and assisting prospects with enrollment and onboarding
- Support Marketing department in coordinating travel and event logistics
- May be asked to attend after-hours industry or partner events, including panels, networking opportunities, and charity sponsored engagements
- Required onsite presence at One New York Plaza headquarters 3-4x/week
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance / Accounting, Operations Management, Marketing, Data Analysis or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry; experience with business development, tax, dividends or corporate actions a plus
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Previous experience with CRM systems and business intelligence tools is preferred
- Motivated to innovate and improve operational processes
- Detail orientation. Strong organization and multi-tasking skills; ability to working on several projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated teamwork skills

The Business Development Associate is responsible for adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to the protection of confidential data, particularly sensitive client information.
Career Trajectory
This role has exposure to senior personnel across all areas of the company with opportunities for advancement across the firm. The role will work closely with Sales, Relationship Management, and Marketing team members, as well as participate in senior level customer-facing meetings and communications. Future travel possible.
