Job Overview:
This project manager will be a leader on our emergency mitigation team. This position will be based in Kansas City but there will be travel throughout the year as we service clients all over the country.
The applicant will need to be self-sufficient in how to manage all aspects of emergency projects on the commercial side including the initial event (fire, water, storm, natural disaster, etc.), dealing with insurance claims, project documentation, subcontractor hiring, Xactimate usage, reconstruction portions and more.
It is crucial that the applicant be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicant must be self-motivated and self-sufficient when it comes to all facets of commercial project management and emergency response. Applicant must also maintain a positive attitude while expected to be a leader for other team members within the organization. This is not an entry-level position. 5-10 years of experience with commercial restoration project management and the insurance industry is required, including experience with mitigation and remediation processes, construction work, estimating, project management and leading teams.
Applicant needs to be proficient in all aspects of emergency and restoration project management including but not limited to:
- Emergency response.
- Drying, dehumidification, and climate stabilization.
- Scope creation in Xactimate for mitigation and reconstruction.
- Equipment and consumable materials tracking.
- Insurance claims and the insurance process.
- Project documentation including moisture mapping, photo tracking, and daily reporting.
- Job costing, analysis, and tracking.
- Bidding, selection, and hiring of subcontractors.
- On-site project management and workflow.
- General understanding of a wide variety of commercial construction trades.
- Project scheduling, development of critical paths, and maintaining strict benchmarks.
- Overall coordination with other project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- All other tasks related to commercial emergency project management.
- Applicant must bring preexisting relationships with them to the new role and not have any conflicting non-compete agreements in place.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
