Position: Quote Coordinator

Role Description:
Individual coordinates preparation of quotes in accordance with customer requests for quotes (RFQs) for metal fabrications, and MRO products. Primarily responsible for preparing material and investment costs into standard quote template. Analyze bills of materials, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to complete quote packages, utilizing standard quotes models and forms. This position is expected to be in office five days a week in Plymouth, MI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Analyze, compare, and interpret detailed and sometimes poorly defined information; make sound and accurate judgments based on previous knowledge.
- Assist in identification of and preparation for parts and/or secondary processes to be sent out for quotation.
- Sends out RFQ requests for all purchased components, outside process and check fixtures.
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to obtain labor estimates, test, NRE and other costs.
- Identify and work to resolve problems that develop, escalating problems encountered to manager in a timely manner, when necessary, with recommendations for solutions.
- Serve as key member of final bid/quote review team.
- Download data including Customer or Vendor requirements and RFQ documents from internet or intranet; organize and file data in appropriate electronic databases and or file structures.
- Upload completed quotes and support documentation to customer database, and or storage retrieval systems.
- Recommend more efficient and proficient processes.
- Participate in customer discussions as required.
- Creates, updates, and downloads pertinent data into NOA system, and distribute accordingly.
- Serve as point of contact for activities in area of responsibility.
- Logging new RFQs into designated RFQ tracking system.
- Organizes & conducts daily open RFQ meeting, weekly multiple plant RFQ review meeting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional duties may include:
- Assisting in completing customer cost breakdowns (CBDs).
- Assisting in quarterly/annual forecasting activities.
- Create ad hoc reports in absence of other quote coordinators.
- Create PowerPoint presentations for customers and or vendors.
- Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agenda, reserve, and prepare facilities, and record meeting minutes as required.
- Participate in Internal and External QS 9000 or TS 9001 audits.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:
Experience:
- Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of Program Management.
- Advanced Excel and BASIC blueprint reading
