Job Summary: Rapidly growing global IoT company is seeking a looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in SolidWorks and Arena PLM to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will create and manage product designs, collaborate with different teams, and oversee the release of product data using Arena PLM. Your work will range from product design to final revisions, ensuring everything meets our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Design with SolidWorks:
- Develop product designs for new products and present them for review and approval.
- Create 3D part files for prototypes and assemblies.
- Prepare mechanical part and cable drawings for quotes and production.
- Create assembly drawings, part drawings, and instructions for manufacturing.
- Work with PCB engineers on board size and component placement.
- Convert PCB designs into SolidWorks files for assembly and interference checks.
- Prepare product labels (certifications, information, etc.) and balloon drawings for inspection.
- Manage revisions of parts and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Work with manufacturing partners to resolve assembly and part issues.
- Review and approve tooling for custom parts.
Arena PLM Software:
- Manage Arena PLM system settings (users, attributes, routings, etc.).
- Help team members find files and information in Arena.
- Create and assign part numbers and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Release mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies through ECO revision control.
- Work with electrical and firmware engineers on part creation and documentation.
- Coordinate with service engineers for the release of service manuals and installation guides.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with SolidWorks design software.
- Familiarity with Arena PLM or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of product design and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to collaborate with different teams.
- Organized, with strong attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time, In-Person preferred, remote candidates considered depending on experience.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
