TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:           5 hours daily, 12 months per year

                                                 Rate of Pay:   Per current classified salary schedule

REPORTS TO:                              Maintanence Supervisor

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Full-time custodians perform manual work in the cleaning and general maintenance of buildings and grounds areas. Duties include regular clean-up such as sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, scrubbing, polishing floors; washing windows, dusting, cleaning chalkboards, moving furniture, emptying trash, etc. Other duties include minor repair and maintenance with maintenance supervisor’s approval. Additional duties will be assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Good physical condition because the work requires considerable activity such as lifting, climbing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, crawling, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Previous custodial experience preferable.
3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
