What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineering Co-Op position at Globus Medical?

Position Summary :
The Electrical Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting the team during the prototype phase with some hands on electrical work, including soldering, cabling, PCB rework etc.
Essential Functions :
- Designing and developing instruments and implants
- Working with in-house prototype shop and outside vendors for rapid prototyping and evaluation
- Performing design verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet specifications
- Obtaining market feedback from spine surgeons and other customers to determine functional and designing specifications for new product development
- Creating and maintaining project plans and Design history Files (DHF) for each project
- Managing of all aspects of project to ensure timely completion of tasks while remaining in full compliance with Globus quality system and other applicable regulatory bodies
- Partnering with marketing and product managers to develop forecasts and market plans
- Working with the operations department to setup manufacturing and / or purchasing as appropriate for each project
