About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Digital Health team as an Electrical Engineer. You will work closely with engineers to conceptualize and commercialize cutting-edge medical devices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Connected Systems: Design, build, and test connected embedded electrical systems ensuring adherence to industry standards and performance metrics (e.g., Bluetooth, IEC 60601-1)
- Lead Embedded System Design: Lead the design, build, and test of microcontroller-based systems
- Translate Product Requirements: Translate product requirements into design specifications and verification tests
- PCBA Design and Development: Design PCBAs containing both analog and digital circuitry
- Firmware Development and Testing: Develop and build test fixtures, test procedures, and test scripts; design, implement, debug, maintain, and modify firmware
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering: BS in electrical engineering with 3 years of experience or MS EE with 1 years of experience
- Experience with Connected Devices: Experience developing hardware and firmware for connected devices with wireless communication and sensor subsystems
- Hands-on Prototyping: Experience with hands-on prototyping and debugging circuit boards
- Firmware Programming: Experience writing firmware in C or Rust
- Communication Protocols: Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and BLE
- Electrical Schematics: Working knowledge of electrical schematics and PCB layout
- PCB Design Tools: Ability to use Altium or equivalent for schematic capture and PCB design
- Test Equipment: Proficient with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
