Position Summary
The Project Engineer Co-Op will be responsible for assisting the Engineering group with design and development of spinal instruments and implants.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the design and development of medical systems using CREO Parametric
- Work with in-house and outside prototype shops for rapid prototyping and design evaluation
- Performing design verification activities to ensure designs meet specifications
- Perform life cycle testing including HALT/HASS and perform root cause analysis on any failures
- Document design work, test plans, and test results per GMP and company SOP’s
- Ensures all systems are run according to manufacturer instructions, Safety requirements and guidelines, and SOPs
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
Qualifications
- Experience with CREO Parametric or similar for 3D modeling and 2D drafting required
- 2 years of Mechanical / Biomedical Engineering Schooling
- 1 or more relevant prior employment, Co-op, or Internship experience
- Strong self-starter, good interpersonal skills, and professionalism
- Well organized, detail oriented and team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
