Position Summary
Responsible for the daily activities and supervision of distribution operations, including receiving, processing, inventory re-stocking, packing, and shipping. Provides leadership and direction of distribution and other activities on a daily basis. Fosters a culture of teamwork and drive processes that sustain continuous improvement in safety, service, quality, and cost measures
Essential Functions
- Manages the distribution team in meeting key business metrics around cost, quality, safety and service
- Manages the distribution team to achieve operational excellence and Customer Service standards
- Provides hands on assistance to the distribution team to ensure productivity measures are met and maintained
- Provides each shareowner with a comprehensive development plan that works with each shareowners goals and ambitions for future career development
- Provides leadership to all distribution shareowners through motivation to meet and frequently exceed company standards
- Carries out operational improvements to meet quality, productivity and cost measures
- Manages back-office related logistics / operational and customer related issues and escalations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
