What are the responsibilities and job description for the CORPORATE ATTORNEY position at Glock?
General Purpose:
This onsite role requires a dynamic individual with a solid background in corporate legal functions and specialized experience in manufacturing preferably the firearms industry. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support for GLOCK's manufacturing, marketing, sales, operations in the U.S., ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks within the company.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Performs and/or manages hands-on legal work in a range of areas including corporate compliance, commercial transactions, intellectual property matters, litigation management, employment, labor relations and other regulatory matters.
Research and answer questions from internal & external clients in a timely and comprehensive manner.
Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics.
Assist with solicitations, provide input to procurement processes.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and key legal documents, including, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Vendor Agreements, terms related to marketing programs, etc.
External compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Provide strategic legal counsel on general corporate affairs to senior management and business units (e.g., HR, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Compliance) ensuring informed decision-making and adherence to legal standards.
Draft, develop and implement legal policies, templates, and training programs to support business needs.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the firearms, accessories, and ammunitions sectors.
Manage and support discovery processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Support HR function as needed on internal investigations and compliance.
Qualifications/Job Requirements:

Educational/ Basic Skill Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
8 years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house attorney, preferably within the manufacturing industry and handling of product liability claims / litigation.
In-depth understanding of legal principles, including those related to, product liability, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in negotiating and drafting complex agreements.
Strong written and oral communication with the ability to communicate efficiently with all levels of management, co-workers, and subordinates.
Skilled in coordinating and aligning the efforts of stakeholders from various parts of the organization in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration and timely completion of projects.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver’s license
License to practice law in good standing from any state bar or DC

Work Environment:
The work environment primarily requires the employee to work indoors in a climate controlled administrative office setting. However, occasional exposure to an outdoor environment is required from time to time, during various seasons. There may be short spans of time that requires the employee to walk and/or drive to multiple GLOCK locations. The employee may be required to work overtime in order to reach deadlines, and for special programs or company events.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours.
