What are the responsibilities and job description for the GR CNC TECHNICIAN position at Glock?
General Purpose
Oversee the manufacturing of metal parts according with work instructions and best practices by performing the following duties:
Shift(s):2nd shift Monday through Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform adjustments related with machine settings, tools and times. Analyses part measurements to determine adjustments needed.
Read blueprints to ensure dimensional conformance of parts. Reviews measurement reports to assess product conformity and necessary corrections.
Perform re-works on machine and off machine.
Ensure that the documentation is correct including quantities and other records including previous operations.
Promptly perform booking operations and ensures reported quantities are correct.
Use of hand tools such as files and hand reamers to de-bur parts while maintaining product conformity.
Perform visual inspections to identify issues as early in the production process as possible.
Train operators on visual inspection details.
Assist Supervisors with operator training activities.
Help with workflow by identifying bottlenecks and promptly communicating status with supervisors.
Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness in the manufacturing area.
Communicate with shift supervisor and/or machine adjusters potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues.
Communicate with other machine adjusters and operators at shift change relevant information that helps prevent mistakes or expedite production process.
Flexible work schedule.
Must be present in regular attendance.
