Our client is seeking an experienced individual in Tampa, FL to join their team as the General Manager of a reputable Moving and Storage company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both sales and operations, demonstrating a track record of success in leading and growing a business within the moving and storage industry. As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities :
1) Sales Leadership :
Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to drive revenue growth, expand customer base, and increase market share.
Lead and motivate the sales team, setting ambitious goals, and providing guidance to achieve targets.
Foster strong relationships with key clients, identify new business opportunities, and negotiate contracts and pricing.
2) Operations Management :
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of moving and storage services.
Establish and maintain operational processes, quality standards, and performance metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Monitor and optimize resource allocation, including equipment, manpower, and transportation, to maximize efficiency and profitability.
3) Team Development :
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales professionals and operations staff.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing performance feedback to enhance individual and team capabilities.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
4) Financial Management :
Develop and manage the annual budget, regularly monitoring financial performance and taking proactive measures to meet or exceed targets.

Qualifications :
Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Operations Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (3 years) in a leadership role within the moving and storage industry.
Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, and expanding market presence.
Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, make data-driven decisions and manage budgets effectively.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
