Position Summary
Responsible for managing an extensive and experienced sales force, mentoring the team in identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, and selling the Company’s services to increase revenue in domestic and international relocation services. This position is a key sales leader with the responsibility for the oversight of the relocation and transportation sales team members who are located in several key states around the nation. The VP will need to demonstrate a successful track record of sales performance in international and domestic sales with clients, be a driver of business growth initiatives for success for the organization, and have experience successfully managing a team of sales professionals. The position is a member of the senior executive team reporting to the Company President.
Responsibilities
- Manage diverse sales team members in virtual locations to achieve sales targets, including recruitment / selection of new team members as needed.
- Evaluate and coach sales team members for success and provide performance management in an efficient and effective manner.
- Ensure sales team members utilize the database for generating, capturing, and recording individual sales activity.
- Lead role in industry events; responsible for identifying new visibility points for the company / sales team members.
- Identify new products / solutions based upon competitive and prospect feedback.
- Participate and / or oversee individual sales presentations and RFI / RFP responses, ensuring consistent brand and message across the sales organization.
- Lead change as required to achieve company and / or departmental objectives.
- Evaluate brand message and positioning in the marketplace.
- Work with Marketing and Communications to ensure an effective message is consistently present in all marketing and sales materials.
- Lead role in developing, writing, and delivering proposals, especially relating to specialized bid situations.
- Track all activities and prospect updates in SalesForce.com.
- Participate and play a leadership role in Company functions designed to educate employees, prospects, and clients.
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, the company vision and value statements, policies and procedures, confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior.
- Achieve annual activity and revenue objectives as established by the company.
- Position may require travel of 50% or more of work hours.
