What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Accounting Associate position at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church?
Record Keeping:
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church seeks a person who will be responsible for inputting offerings and gifts to member records (ChurchPlus) and preparing quarterly statements for mailing to members.
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for recording all receipts and disbursements to the accounting records (ChurchPlus) and performing month end reconciliations including: 1) Book to bank; 2) Credit Card Statement to receipts (including categorization for recording); and 3) Member records to Accounting records for member offerings and gifts
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for insuring payments to vendors are done timely by coordinating with the Treasurer. This includes preparing disbursement requests or requests to establish electronic payments with vendors.
The Accounting Associate will be responsible for recording Preschool receipts and disbursements and performing month end book to bank reconciliations.
The Accounting Associate will maintain and run semi-monthly payroll with ADP
The Accounting Associate will close out the month following the Treasurer’s review of reconciliations and month end financial statements for the Church and Preschool.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
