ROLE PURPOSE
The Manufacturing technician will be responsible for configuring and testing products, imaging all PCs, updating all settings files, as well as troubleshooting and repairing cash-dispensing and sorting equipment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform fitting and aligning to ensure free action of moveable parts and operating requirements.
- Complete diagnostics of base level problems and repairs of high-end products according to quality standards and schedule.
- Root cause analysis of quality defects and troubleshoot for a solution.
- Tear down, rebuild, configure, and test new and used units.
- Utilize precision measuring devices to include gauging devices and electrical testing devices.
- Formatting the machine’s image to meet customer specification requirements
- Understanding IP, MAC addresses and setting machines accordingly
- Maintain inventory accuracy internal ERP system.
- Assist with special project implementation.
- Advise quality department of technical training and product issues as they arise.
- Provide recommendations for improving the service, reliability, and performance of our equipment.
- Gather and record machine information at regular intervals to monitor performance.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 activities.
- Lift, place, transport, and assemble component parts and equipment.
- Work from Manufacturing work instructions, care points, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and other specifications.
- Perform other activities as required
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics or other related field preferred.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics or other related field preferred.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Pass 2 technician classes
- Be fully trained (See training matrix for details) on all qualifying products
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail
- Ability to perform independently or within a team
- Strong PC, network, and application skills
- Ability to navigate through cloud-based applications
- Strong reading comprehension of technical documents
- Problem solving skills
- Must have experience or ability to learn Microsoft Office, TS tools, and any other technical software
