What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL RECORDS FOR HOME HEALTH position at Glory Home Health Care?
- Maintain and update patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA and home health regulatory standards.
- Organize and manage electronic and paper-based medical documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Process and track physician orders, progress notes, and other critical documents.
- Coordinate with clinicians, physicians, and office staff to obtain missing documentation and ensure compliance.
- Audit medical records to verify proper documentation, signatures, and adherence to agency policies.
- Ensure timely filing and retrieval of medical records for clinical staff as needed.
- Assist with preparing records for audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance inspections.
- Respond to requests for medical records from authorized personnel while ensuring patient privacy.
- Maintain an organized filing system and implement record retention policies.
- Perform data entry tasks and update electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
