What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/Custodian position at Glory House?
1. Responsible for ensuring chemical inventory, chemical supply, and compliance with SDS; refer to policy and procedures for further details.
2. Responsible for ensuring safe use and storage of tools and machinery. Maintain inventory; refer to policy and procedures for further details.
3. Responsible for ensuring vehicle maintenance, arranging vehicle repairs, filling gas as needed at minimum twice weekly and scheduled safety checks; refer to policy and procedures for further instructions.
4. Responsible for routine and unexpected facility repairs, communicating with Facility Manager and seeking approval for expenses for repairs or contracts.
5. Assist with planning for monthly fire drills as well as safety checks for floods and other potential disasters.
6. Assist with general sanitation in all facilities and routine checks for furnace filters and water
temperatures. Assist with pantry and kitchen areas as directed.
Provides documentation for safety and sanitation to Facility Manager.
Assists with maintenance of grounds and landscape of facilities.
Assists Facility Manager with outside vendors with renovations, repairs, or replacement material or construction.
Ability to lift and move up to fifty pounds, stand and walk for long periods of time.
Responsible for picking up products weekly.
Responsible for keeping facilities and common areas clean and maintained including all bathrooms, laundry rooms, and community rooms at apartment complex when directed/assigned.
Regular sweeping, moping, vacuuming, and dusting of the facilities hallways and office spaces at apartment complex when directed/assigned.
Checking and removal of garbage in all common areas and office spaces at apartment complex when directed/assigned.
Responsible for apartment move-out cleanings/repairs as scheduled with Housing Manager, Housing Coordinator, or Facility Manager at apartment complex when directed/assigned.
Responsible for checking and replenishing supplies/chemicals at residential buildings daily and at apartment complex when directed/assigned.
Responsible for routine and unexpected work orders for apartment units as directed by Housing Manager, Housing Coordinator or Facility Manager in accordance to policy and procedures.
Attend required trainings.
Assist in moving agency property as directed.
