ROLE PURPOSE
The Inventory and Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing data relating to the inventory and flow of materials through the logistics cycle in addition to the logistics contracts and associated costs. Assists with the coordination of domestic and international shipments.
Key Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes data relating to domestic and international shipments including transit times and cost to create KPI’s.
- Audits material picks and processes to verify quality and accuracy for scheduled work orders.
- Collaborates with production, inventory, procurement, and supply planning teams for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Writes processes and process improvement goals and measures results.
- Analyzes inventory levels, production speed and product demand and measures results.
- Prepares training material and coordinates system training for new employees in the department.
- Liaison with local and global system teams to ensure processes and training are up to date.
- Prepares SLI’s, electronic air bills, and other necessary paperwork for International and Domestic spares/miscellaneous shipments.
- Examines invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.
- Contacts customs officials /compliance officers to affect release of incoming freight and resolve customs delays.
- Liaises with inspection agencies as required.
- Follow up on all international shipments (with carriers and UK team) to ensure smooth flow and minimization of delays to customers with regard queries, customs, documentation, etc.
- Approve freight bills and enters freight orders for international shipments.
- Liaison regularly with suppliers, sea, air & domestic freight providers on deliveries (inbound & outbound) to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Qualifications:
- Two or more year’s proven, successful experience in an administrative support role.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Advanced computer skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, prioritization and problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading, grammar and spelling aptitude.
- Excellent follow up and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and excel at multi-tasking.
- Possess a positive attitude; is conscientious and responsive.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Works well independently, yet is cooperative in working with team assignments and activities.
