The Family Educator will work closely with the Preventive Services Department, contracting County Department of Social Services, and family members to successfully carry out the Family Educator contract requirements. The Family Educator particularly is responsible to provide in-home parent education services utilizing an evidence based, strength based, trauma informed curriculum. They will also provide in-home supportive casework counseling services to clients, complete required assessments, and assist individuals and families by helping to articulate goals and providing needed information. This person works closely in partnership with the families, county workers and other community partners.
Primary Job Functions
- Perform Casework Services as defined by the County Contract (may include assessments, treatment plans, safety plans, discharge plans, etc.)
- Works with the family and team and other identified professionals through the use of parenting instruction.
- Provide case management services including referrals, connections, and links; coordinate services with other professionals and paraprofessionals and liaise with outside social service agencies and other organizations, where appropriate.
- Participate in treatment team meetings.
- May monitor interns and / or volunteers. 1. Develop and maintain records and program documentation, such as assessments, treatment plans, visitation plans, progress notes and summaries, according to contract and Glove House standards.
- Generate and maintain necessary reports and paperwork (i.e., Quality Assurance and program reports).

Requirements :
Related bachelor’s degree required. All degrees must be from an accredited university.
Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record in accordance with agency standards.
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with children and families, providing training / coaching, or in-home supportive services.
