Summary
The Recruiter manages full-cycle hiring for VPC West Point, ensuring efficient staffing and compliance. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening, coordinating hires, maintaining applicant records, and reporting to HR Managers. This role also supports employer branding and maintains alignment with HR HQ recruiting standards.
Primary
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for VPC West Point, including confirming headcount and coordinating requisitions.
• Post job advertisements, review resumes, screen applicants, arrange and assist in interviews, and maintain applicant tracking documentation.
• Create offer letters, collect acceptances, and schedule preemployment screenings (background checks and drug tests).
• Conduct new hire orientation and prepare on-boarding packets, ensuring all legal documentation is complete and new hires are entered into HRIS.
• Oversee the temp-to-permanent conversion process and assist HR Generalist with information for the employee referral program.
• Advise HR, staffing, and hiring managers on candidate selection and hiring policies, providing solutions to meet staffing needs.
• Provide weekly updates on recruiting strategies, open positions, and recruitment progress.
• Send new hire announcements to required personnel and maintain social media recruitment sites.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact to on-boarding.
• Conduct reference checks and verify employment history for selected candidates.
• Maintain a dotted line to the HR HQ Recruiting Team, ensuring consistent training and clear communication of recruiting requirements from HQ.
Secondary
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and ensure alignment with departmental needs.
• Maintain and update job descriptions for accuracy and alignment with company requirements.
• Track and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and offer acceptance rates.
• Stay current with industry trends, competitive hiring practices, and labor market conditions to provide informed recommendations.
• Organize and host job fairs to attract potential candidates.
• Participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure a diverse candidate pool.
• Build and maintain a strong network of potential candidates through job fairs, networking events, and industry connections.
Tertiary
• Provide reports to the HR Manager and National HR Manager as requested, in a timely manner.
• Ensure organized documentation and filing of applicants who did not pass the enrollment process.
