Summary
The Administrator - Planning & Strategy will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day Procurement operations of the Freight Forwarding business at GLOVIS America, Inc. They will act as a trusted partner in providing support to the head of the Corporate Planning & Analysis team by designing, gathering, analyzing, and maintaining reports to monitor GLOVIS' affiliate companies and Freight Forwarding business. Additionally, the individual in this position will support the execution and management of the entire audit cycle to improve operations' efficiency, financial stability, and compliances with all relevant rules and regulations. This position will also be responsible for conducting all our equipment’s inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the safety of individuals and truckers and protection of the environment.
Compensation
$64,000-$70,000/Year (Subject to Compensation once Candidate is selected)
Responsibilities
Primary
• Support the execution and management of the entire audit cycle to improve operations' efficiency, financial stability, and compliance with all relevant rules and regulations
• Be responsible for conducting all our equipment’s inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the safety of individuals and truckers and protection of the environment
• To validate and check the M&R charges from vendors
• Keep tracking and record and usage history keeping of our asset such as chassis
• Maintains a system of controls over asset transactions
• Prepare and provide reports and information to customers, SCM operations, accounting AR/AP and others as needed
• Support the organization as needed and support management requests for information and analyses and prepare regular reporting
• Prepare and review all AR/AP
• Support and review the process for new demand: requirements definition, bidder identification, critical timelines
• Coordinate and advise on overall supplier performance and fidelity of supplier scorecards
• Review new and existing supplier contracts, ensure on-going and future feasibility
Secondary
• Attending meetings, analyzing data, reviewing documents, preparing working papers, developing and documenting findings and recommendations
• Use of problem solving to obtain relevant data and information including dealing with ambiguity and exercising judgment / professional skepticism
• Making corporate policy assessments
Tertiary
• Prepare required documents for new vendors & customers’ accounts and set them up on system
• Assisting manager and team members on any projects as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Required
- Intermediate-level MS Excel Required
- Problem-solving and critical thinking ability Required
- Detail-oriented Required
- Experience with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint Preferred
- A self-starter that can operate under minimal supervision Preferred
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Three (3) years of direct experience in Contracts, Accounting, SCM, Logistics, Business Administration
